Tomorrow’s Town Today

Founded 100 years ago, Colstrip, Montana relies on its coal mine and a coal-fired power plant. After half of the power plant is closed in 2020, Colstrip’s future becomes more uncertain. A look at what it’s like growing up in an industry town through the eyes of high school seniors.

I directed Tomorrow’s Town Today in 2023, and it premiered at Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in 2024. It was also nominated for Best Montana Film at Flathead Lake International Film Festival in 2024.
